Born in 1970 and currently residing in Pingdingshan, Henan, Luo Xingyi, also known as Luo Qingyuan, is a prominent figure in the world of Chinese painting. He is renowned for pioneering the Chinese burnt ink banyan tree and colorful ink banyan tree cracking method. Luo specializes in painting banyan trees, showcasing a distinctive style that is unparalleled in China. His unique approach to the traditional ink banyan tree has garnered considerable attention and recognition, making him a prominent artist for collectors.
The banyan tree, a symbol of unity and mutual support, takes center stage in his works, embodying themes of shared roots, deep growth, lush foliage, and prosperity. Influenced by his family from a young age, Luo developed a deep passion for calligraphy, painting, and seal cutting. He embarked on his journey into Chinese painting in 2001 under the guidance of Mr. Li Guangyu, Vice Chairman of the Artists Association of Pingdingshan City, Henan Province. Initially focused on landscape painting, Luo later found his calling in banyan tree painting.
