Su Xinping (Su Xinping) was born in Jining City, Inner Mongolia in 1960. He joined the army in 1977 to serve in the army. He graduated from the Painting Department of Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts in 1983. After graduation, he taught at the Fine Arts Department of Inner Mongolia Normal University. In 1989, he graduated from the Printmaking Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts with a master's degree and stayed at the school to teach. Now he is the vice president, professor and doctoral supervisor of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, and the director of the Printmaking Art Committee of the China Artists Association. Su Xinping’s experience of living in the grasslands and serving in the army in his early years gave Su Xinping a profound experience of the loneliness of the earth, sky and soul.
