Celestial Orb Vase, an exquisite Chinese monochrome red flame-glazed vase known as Tianqiuping, dating to the Qing Dynasty, late 19th century. This stunning vase features a rounded "orb" body rising to broad shoulders and an elongated neck. The surface is adorned with a lustrous ox-blood glaze (sang-de-boeuf), enhanced with areas of purple and blue flambe effects. The rim transitions to a warm cream color, while the base showcases a thick, glossy glaze that pools richly at the edges, typical of late Qing flame-glazed ceramics. The underside reveals the remarkable thickness of the glaze, which partially covers the foot and bears marks from the firing process.

This piece boasts a distinguished provenance from a private Nottingham collection, underscoring its historical and artistic significance.
