A pair of exquisite Shoushan stone seals created by Wu Putang (1922–1966) and Law Fui (1905–1981). Wu Putang, whose original name was Pu, was a prominent seal carver from Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province, and a member of the Xiling Seal Society. He gained expertise in seal cutting under Wang Fuan and served as a technical officer for the Seal Casting Bureau of the Nanjing Presidential Palace. This remarkable set of seals showcases his mastery in the craft, having worked on prestigious projects such as the presidential seal. Following the establishment of the People's Republic of China, Wu Putang continued his contributions at the Shanghai Museum. These seals embody a legacy of exceptional artistry and cultural significance.
