Description:
An elegant Art Nouveau bronze sculpture of a reclining semi-nude female figure, created by Marcel Debut. The figure is gracefully posed on a stepped black and white veined marble base, signed DEBUT.

Marcel Debut, son of sculptor Didier Debut, studied under his father as well as Henri Chapu at the École des Beaux-Arts. He first exhibited at the Salon in 1883 and gained recognition as both a sculptor and painter.
