Description:
A jue bronze vessel in the ancient Chinese style. The bulbous body is raised on tripod blade-shaped supports and cast in high relief with a pair of taotie masks on a fretwork ground. The wide trumpet-shaped neck is decorated with upright leaf-tip motifs. The vessel features a loop handle on one side and two lugs with mushroom finials rising from the lip, characteristic of traditional ritual bronze jue vessels.
