This enchanting hand coloured engraving depicts Cupid in a playful yet comical predicament, secured to a tree-trunk with his hands tied behind his back. The scene shows Cupid glancing to his left at a group of nymphs who are attending to him. One nymph kneels, working on the knots, while another stands behind her, gently tickling Cupid with roses. A third nymph, positioned to the right, raises her hands above her head, also holding roses. The artwork captures a whimsical moment of light-hearted mischief.
