About the Artist:
Roy Perry was a British landscape painter, best known for his detailed and atmospheric depictions of Southern England. Born in Liverpool in 1935, he studied at John Lyon School in Harrow. While he is particularly celebrated for his scenes of cricket matches played on summer days, his broader landscape works also gained significant recognition. Perry was an elected member of the Royal Institute of Painters in Watercolors, and his works are held in notable collections, including those of Charles, Prince of Wales, Margaret Thatcher, and the Fleet Air Arm Museum in Yeovilton. He passed away in 1993 in Dorset, United Kingdom.
