About the Artist:
Jingxin Xia (b. 1985, Jiangsu, China) focuses on reflections in glass and urban landscapes, mirroring the rapid development of modern China. Her works capture fleeting changes in light and the transformation of cityscapes, akin to Monet’s studies of Rouen Cathedral. Xia's paintings provide a contemplative take on modernity, distilling the frenetic pace of change into quiet, meditative compositions. She graduated from Nanjing University of the Arts in 2007 and currently lives and works in Beijing, China.
