In Nude Girl, Chen Shaoli presents a full-figure nude seated with quiet dignity. The figure rests atop a light pastel yellow drapery that lies on a bright orange carpet adorned with intricate patterns. A black and white cat positioned next to the model gazes directly at the viewer, adding an intriguing layer of narrative. The soft pastel blue wall in the background creates a striking contrast with the warm hues of the carpet and the model’s skin, while an orange rectangle on the wall echoes the carpet’s tone and stabilizes the composition into a balanced triangular form. This thoughtful interplay of color and form transforms a simple subject into a vibrant visual narrative.
