Shaoli Chen, 'Nude Girl5'
A striking vertical composition featuring a seated female figure wearing a black top adorned with floral decorations. Her thighs are draped with a white fabric that flows onto the floor, adding textural complexity and connecting the figure to her surroundings. Her red lips and blue earrings echo the hues found in the carpet beneath her, enhancing the chromatic harmony. The carpet itself introduces an element of grounding with its intricate patterns. In the right corner of the rug, a small still life featuring fruits, a plate, and a jug adds depth to the scene. The background, rendered in a flat, light pastel hue, frames the scene and provides context to the elements that compose the work.
