About the Artist:
Shurui Xu was born in Heilongjiang, China, in 1973. His journey in the world of art education began in 1992 when he enrolled in the Academy of Art at Harbin Normal University, where he studied until 1996. He continued to hone his skills and understanding of art by attending the oil painting training class at the First Normal University from 2000 to 2001. Later, from 2001 to 2003, he furthered his education in the oil painting training class at the Central Academy of Fine Arts. In 2009, Xu graduated from the Oil Painting Department of Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts, earning a master's degree in free art.
Today, Shurui Xu is a teacher at the Basic Department of the School of Experimental Art at Tianjin Academy of Fine Arts, where he continues to explore and create art while sharing his knowledge and passion for the craft with new generations of artists.
