About the Artist:
Born in St. Petersburg, Russia, in 1961, Victor Zag displayed artistic talent from an early age, influenced by his father and grandfather, both accomplished artists. After formal training at the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts, he gained experience in commercial art, including movie poster design and advertising.
In 1996, Zag relocated to Toronto, Canada, where he continued to develop his artistic career. His work, celebrated for its vibrant use of color and diverse subject matter, has been showcased in major exhibitions and commissioned by corporations and private collectors. Dubbed "The Artist of Colour," Zag’s artistic versatility spans abstract, figurative, and landscape painting, reflecting his deep passion for creativity and exploration.
