Description:
A vertical composition centered around a painter’s palette, its surface bearing freshly poured warm-hued pigments that stand out as the most vibrant accents in the piece. Emerging from the palette is a faint silhouette of a figure clad in a long coat and top hat, an enigmatic presence within the abstract scene. A soft, pale yellow glowing wing emanates from the right side, contrasting against the heavily textured background dominated by neutral greys, loose strokes of ochre, and deep sienna. The composition is framed by bold black bands along the edges, enhancing its theatrical and dreamlike quality. The interplay of texture, light, and form invites the viewer into a space of intrigue and mystery.

About the Artist:
Li Xiaoqi, a graduate of Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts (2005), specializes in comprehensive art and currently resides in Huangjueping, Chongqing, working as a freelance artist.

His work has been featured in numerous exhibitions, including the Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts Annual Exhibition (7th, 8th, and 9th editions), Chongqing Watercolor Pastel Painting Exhibition, and the Outstanding Works Exhibition of Graduates of Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts. He has also participated in thematic contemporary art exhibitions such as Foreplay, Color of the Sky, Daydream, and Imaginary World, the latter being a solo presentation at Zhancan Art Center. His art often explores psychological and emotional landscapes, utilizing symbolic elements and dynamic textures to construct immersive visual experiences.
