A Chinese Tang Dynasty (618-907) three-color glazed pottery sculpture of a standing horse, adorned with a saddle. This exquisite piece showcases the Tang dynasty's celebrated sancai (three-color) glazing technique, characterized by its vibrant tones and intricate detailing. Despite the absence of the tail and minor age-related wear, including cracks and flaking, the sculpture remains a remarkable example of Tang artistry. Provenance: From the estate of renowned American film producer Martin Bregman, famed for iconic works such as Scarface, Serpico, and Dog Day Afternoon.
