A partially printed document signed "Max-Joseph" by King Maximilian I Joseph of Bavaria, written in German and dated March 31, 1818. The document is addressed to the Government of the Upper Main District, confirming the appointment of Dr. Georg Steglehner. It states that, based on their expert report and the recommendation of the Senior Board of Health, Dr. Steglehner has been appointed as a tutor at the Bamberg Midwifery School with an annual salary of 300 thalers and as a surgeon at the Bamberg Penal Workhouse with a salary of 100 thalers.
