Paul Dufrane was a Belgian artist born in 1922 in Saint-Gilles/Brussels and died in 1999. He was a painter, graphic artist, draftsman and collagist. He studied at Sint-Lucas and at the Academy in Brussels under the supervision of L. Devos and Anto Carte. He debuted non-figuratively. He leaned fairly quickly into surrealism and eventually evolved into figuration. His compositions sometimes reflect symbolism, sometimes poetry or eroticism. Work among others in the Print Room in Brussels. Listed in BAS I. His favorite subjects were interiors, marine as a genre and abstraction.
