Born in Ceglie Messapica, Apulia, his artistic journey led him to study at the Neapolitan Academy of Fine Arts in Naples under Vincenzo Volpe. He furthered his education in Florence under Adolfo De Carolis, where he encountered influential painters like Giovanni Fattori, Giovanni Michelucci, and Curzio Malaparte. Notte's talent was recognized early in his career, and at the age of 21, he exhibited at the prestigious Venice Biennale. He later joined the circle of Futurist painters, collaborating with artists like Umberto Boccioni, Filippo Tommaso Marinetti, and Carlo Carrà . Notte served in World War I and was wounded in combat. His artistic journey took him to various cities, including Milan and Rome, before he settled in Naples, where he spent the rest of his life.
