About the Artist
Jianjian Xing (born 1959) is a celebrated Chinese oil painter from Nantong, Jiangsu. He graduated from Nanjing University of the Arts in 1986, where he now serves as a professor and master tutor at the School of Fine Arts. Xing is a member of the China Artists Association and serves as the director of the Jiangsu Oil Painting Society. His works have been featured in numerous national and international exhibitions, including the 8th through 11th National Art Exhibitions and Chinese Oil Painting Exhibitions. Xing's paintings have also been auctioned by major houses like Hong Kong Sotheby's and China Poly, and are held in various prestigious art collections worldwide. He has authored several influential books and teaching materials on oil painting, further cementing his reputation as a key figure in contemporary Chinese art.
