About the artist:
Lantao Xie, born in 1980 and known by the pen name Chunping, is a professional painter hailing from China. He holds the distinguished position of specially appointed painter at the Cultural Workstation of the Political Department of the Second Artillery of the Chinese People's Liberation Army. Additionally, he serves as the vice chairman of the Qinghai Xining Artists Association and holds the title of visiting professor at the China Environmental Management Cadre Academy.
Biography:
Xie Lantao completed his studies at Renmin University of China's Painting Department in 2004, specializing in oil painting and traditional Chinese painting, earning a bachelor's degree in the field. Currently residing in Beijing, his artwork, including pieces like "Basho" and "Wollongong," has found its way into notable collections, including the Shandong Building and the Great Hall of the People. Xie Lantao has been recognized with the Special Contribution Award of the Talent Center of the Ministry of Culture of the People's Republic of China.
