About the Artist
Lu'an Wei (b. 1959, Shandong, China) is an accomplished oil painter and Director of the Jiangsu Oil Painting Society. He earned his Master’s degree from Nanjing University of the Arts in 1990 and has since been a faculty member in its Oil Painting Department. Wei’s work has been featured in numerous national and international exhibitions, including the Beyond the Open Door exhibition at the Asia Pacific Museum in Los Angeles (1986), the Seventh Chinese Art Exhibition (1989), and the Tenth National Art Exhibition (2004). His paintings often explore themes of memory, nature, and movement, reflecting his fascination with the interplay of light, water, and human experience.
