About the Artist: Robinson Murray (1890 - 1984) was an accomplished artist from Massachusetts. After graduating from Harvard College in 1912 with a degree in studio art, Murray initially pursued a career in commercial art before serving in World War I, where he continued to paint even during combat. After the war, he returned to commercial work, eventually retiring in 1960 to focus on modern abstract art, where he developed a distinctive style that bridged traditional and modern approaches.
