About the Artist:
Guangchen Zhao (1961–2009), a visionary contemporary artist from Jilin, China, graduated from Northeast Normal University in 1968. He was a significant figure in the Songzhuang art community and participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions across Beijing, Hong Kong, New York, and Berlin. His works, rich in surrealist symbolism, address critical global issues such as war, environmental degradation, and social upheaval.
