Throughout his artistic career, from 1972 to 1989, he held solo exhibitions in various countries, including France, the United States of America, Belgium, Brazil, Italy, Argentina, Mexico, Chile, Spain, and Japan, where he received several awards.
In Portugal, Horta E Costa exhibited numerous times in different cities, such as Lisbon, Estoril, Cascais, Algés, Quinta do Lago (Algarve), Armação de Pêra, Figueira da Foz, Olhão, Coimbra, and Vilamoura. His artistic accomplishments led to the representation of his works in museums across various countries, including Brazil, Italy, Argentina, Canada, Spain, Japan, and the United States of America.
