Mo Xiong is a highly accomplished artist and a professor of oil painting at Nanjing University of the Arts. He was born in Changzhou, Jiangsu, in 1960, with ancestral roots in Shaoxing, Zhejiang. He graduated from Nanjing University of the Arts in 1986 and began teaching there.
