About the Artist: Shaoli Chen
Shaoli Chen, a distinguished figure in contemporary Chinese art, was born in Xuzhou City, Jiangsu Province, in 1950. He completed his bachelor s degree in oil painting in 1976 and later earned a master s degree in Arts in 1989, both from Nanjing University of the Arts. Currently a professor and master tutor at Nanjing University of the Arts, Chen is also a member of the China Artists Association and an executive director of the Jiangsu Oil Painting Society.
Chen s illustrious career is marked by numerous accolades and exhibitions. His notable works include "Silk Road," which was featured in the Fifth National Art Exhibition and acquired by the Jiangsu Provincial Art Museum, and "People s Condolences," showcased in the Sixth National Art Exhibition and widely published.
