About the artist:
Yang Feiyun was born in Baotou, Inner Mongolia in 1954. After graduating in 1982, he taught at the Stage Art Department of the Central Academy of Drama, and in 2005, he was transferred to the China Academy of Arts. Now he is the president, professor and doctoral supervisor of China Oil Painting Academy of China National Academy of Arts, director of China Artists Association, member of China Artists Association director of China Oil Painting Society, vice-chairman of Beijing Oil Painting Society, eleventh The National People's Congress. On June 4, 2020, Yang Feiyun ranked 49th in the "2020 Hurun China Art List" with a total turnover of 11.02 million yuan in the public auction market in 2019. I liked drawing at a very young age, and started "doodles" at the age of 4 or 5. Yang Feiyun's father was both an art and music teacher and a teacher of other subjects. He had a lot of books and also painted in his spare time. When Yang Feiyun was playing there, he drew sketches next to him, or painted portraits of his ancestors, and also painted posters for the school, so he was nurtured in this aspect since he was a child. So young Yang Feiyun began to "doodle". The real learning was after the beginning of the Cultural Revolution, when elementary school and junior high school started, and all the publicity and art work in the school was assigned to me, so Yang Feiyun had some advantages in the school. Slowly, I started to contact more and more, and I was more and more encouraged in this regard. The formal study is that I was admitted to the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1978, and I began to receive full academic training. I entered the field of professional painting in a more formal, comprehensive and scientific way. I also had the idea of ​​being a painter and an artist. This stage is extremely important because of the focus on learning. Yang Feiyun was actually delayed in going to school. He was 22 years old when he entered school, which should be the age of graduation, but he was very lucky at that time. The college entrance examination resumed after the Cultural Revolution. In fact, there has been a very large and very long accumulation in the front. The college entrance examination is a national nature, and only 8 students from the oil painting department are recruited. The national examination room is set up, but it is not for the entrance examination.
