About the Artist:
Dubi Arie, a painter of Israeli origin, was born in Poland in 1940. In 1948, he immigrated to Israel with Youth Aliyah and became a member of Kibbutz Shaar Hagolan. Later, in 1974, he relocated with his family to Toronto, Canada.
Arie's artistic journey was influenced by his experiences as a paratrooper during the Six Day War, leading him to create "The Mission," a panoramic work spanning seven panels that commemorates 4,000 years of Jewish history. His artistic endeavors extended beyond traditional canvases, with wall murals and reliefs adorning numerous buildings both in Israel and abroad.
Education:
1960-1963: Studied painting with Leo Roth and Haim Bargal.
1962-1967: Attended Margoshilski Art School in Tel Aviv.
Awards And Prizes:
1964: Received a Study Grant from Youth Aliyah.
1968: Awarded the Dvora Davidson Prize for Art from the Kibbutz Artzi Movement, Kibbutz Artzi.
