Description:
"Way Out" by Xiaoqi Li is a hauntingly surreal composition, where reality and dreams merge in an enigmatic landscape. A dark tunnel dominates the center of the canvas, leading into the unknown, while spectral faces emerge from the upper portion, their expressions ethereal and distant. A cat perched on a weathered column surveys the scene, while a delicate blue deer, almost ghostly, stands below, evoking themes of vulnerability and guidance. The lower foreground is strewn with black roses, reinforcing the painting’s atmosphere of mystery, loss, and transformation. With its rich textures and layered symbolism, "Way Out" invites the viewer to ponder the boundary between entrapment and escape.
