This dynamic composition features an exuberant bouquet of five orange blossoms rising from a porcelain-style vase set against a vivid emerald ground. The flowers are interwoven with gestural ink marks and splashes of pigment, producing a sense of continuous visual movement across the surface. A geometric patterned base introduces structural rhythm beneath the organic forms.
The artist’s technique synthesises Chinese ink painting traditions with contemporary Western expressive abstraction. Controlled brushwork is interspersed with spontaneous mark-making, generating a tension between ornamental precision and painterly freedom.
The work engages with the symbolic language of floral still life, in which blossoms traditionally represent renewal, harmony, and prosperity. Here, these associations are reframed through a modern compositional structure and heightened chromatic intensity.
The work is in very good condition, with no visible deterioration. Colours remain strong and stable. Provenance: documentation can be provided upon request.
