This abundant still life presents a richly layered floral arrangement set within an ochre-toned vase. Orange chrysanthemums, white blossoms, and small daisy-like flowers radiate outward in dense clusters, accompanied by two peaches resting on a patterned cloth. The composition balances natural abundance with carefully constructed pictorial order.
The artist employs gestural ink splashes and translucent watercolour washes to create a surface that oscillates between spontaneity and control. The floral forms are articulated with both precision and fluidity, generating a rhythmic interplay across the pictorial field.
The inclusion of fruit and textile elements situates the composition within a broader still-life tradition, while reinforcing themes of domesticity, abundance, and seasonal transition. These motifs are reinterpreted through a contemporary expressive sensibility.
The work is in very good condition, with stable support and well-preserved pigments. Provenance: documentation can be provided upon request.
