This horizontal composition expands across the surface with a profusion of florals, foliage, and birds, creating a richly layered visual field. Emerging from a central, implied vessel, the arrangement unfolds in a rhythmic interplay of colour and form, with vibrant washes of violet, green, and yellow interspersed with energetic ink lines. The composition is anchored by subtle rock forms, which provide a structural counterpoint to the otherwise fluid arrangement.

Mo Xiong’s technique demonstrates a confident fusion of traditional guohua methods with a more expressive, contemporary approach.
