This vibrant composition centres on a female figure in profile, her features delicately articulated and framed by cascading hair and floral ornamentation. Surrounding blooms and foliage, rendered in saturated pinks and ochres, create a richly decorative field that envelops the figure. The fan-shaped format enhances the intimacy of the scene, guiding the eye along the gentle arc of the composition.

Lv Jiang’s approach combines stylized portraiture with elements drawn from traditional Chinese painting. The line is confident and fluid, while areas of flat colour lend the image a graphic immediacy.
