About the Artist: Zeki Findikoglu, a Turkish artist from the village of Boyalica, Iznik, has spent his formative years immersed in the diverse cultures of Anatolia. He graduated from the Fine Arts Academy of Istanbul in 1970 with an M.F.A. in painting and printmaking and later earned another M.F.A. in design and visual communications at George Washington University in 1973. Since 1979, Findikoglu has held teaching positions at various institutions, including the University of the District of Columbia, Trinity University, and Montgomery College. His work has been exhibited internationally, and he currently operates from his studio at the Torpedo Factory Art Center in Alexandria, VA, while dividing his time between Istanbul and Washington, DC.
