About the Artist: Zeki Findikoglu is a Turkish artist hailing from the village of Boyalica, Iznik. His early years spent across various regions of Anatolia provided him with deep insights into Turkish culture and early Anatolian civilizations. He graduated from the Fine Arts Academy of Istanbul in 1970 with an M.F.A. in painting and printmaking, later earning another M.F.A. in design and visual communications at George Washington University in 1973. Since 1979, Findikoglu has served as a professor and department chair at several institutions, including the University of the District of Columbia, Trinity University, and Montgomery College. An internationally exhibited artist, he currently maintains a studio in the Torpedo Factory Art Center in Alexandria, VA, while splitting his time between residences in Istanbul and Washington, DC.
